Mixing Colors with Watercolor Pencils: Bright Wishes

Hi Everyone!
Welcome Back!
I hope you had a nice weekend!
It was insanely hot and humid here in Michigan.  Wow.čśŤ
Last Saturday I did a quick tutorial on
Watercolor Pencil Tips (CLICK HERE if you want to watch it)
Well since I had my pencils out, I couldn't resist the urge to play a little
more!

So I have this card for you today:

For this one I used the Bright Wishes Stamp Set.

This card took me a while to make because I had to mix up most of my own colors.  Especially the greens and the colors of the bricks on the well.
But art is fun and relaxing, so I really enjoyed coloring this card.

I never seem to have enough encouragement or get well cards, so this one fit the bill!

To get the greens, I mixed a combo of:

Real Red, Daffodil Delight and a little Pacific Point.
The grass is basically a wash created with the left over mixture.

For the bricks I mixed am combo of
Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso and Real Red.

The sky is a heavy water & Pacific Point with a tiny bit of Bermuda Bay Mixture, which I also did as wash like the grass.

The other colors I used for the card are:
Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Basic Gray, Black, Bermuda Bay & White.

Disclosure:  For the washes I did use a 1/2" flat Golden Taklon watercolor brush.
For mixing I used a  #8 Round Golden Taklon watercolor brush.

These brushes are available from many manufactures and can be found in any fine arts store or online.
