Ovarian Ribbon of Courage

Hello Everyone!
My Mother-in-law was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer
late last year.

She went through a major surgery, then months and months of chemotherapy
Months of all the awful side effects
that come with chemotherapy.
I want to tell you I have never seen someone
that had so much faith...so much courage!
I am now happy to report that she is in remission!

We believe that it is
because of her strong, unbreakable, faith in God, that has
allowed her to endure the pain and sickness that comes with this
horrific disease.

This card is for, and in honor of her, Bonnie Foster.
Teal is the color of ribbon for Ovarian cancer.

SOME INFORMATION FROM THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY:

  • About 22,240 women will receive a new diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
  • About 14,070 women will die from ovarian cancer.
  • Early cancers of the ovaries often cause no symptoms.
  • The most common symptoms include:
    • Bloating
    • Pelvic or abdominal (belly) pain
    • Trouble eating or feeling full quickly
    • Urinary symptoms such as urgency (always feeling like you have to go) or frequency (having to go often)
Regular pelvic exams, even for older women are the greatest early          detection of Ovarian Cancer.

The ribbon is heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on Bermuda Bay Cardstock.
I used the Stamp Set Ribbon of Courage
along with the coordinating dies
Support Ribbon Framelits
I used the flower die from the framelits set along with the
Big Shot Embossing Mats to create the textured background.
I apologize for the lighting in these pictures, I forgot to turn off one of the overhead lights and it caused the pictures to have a yellow cast...but I already mailed the card...so...
